This doesn’t happen to me very often but my heart is heavy and so my journal came out as a poem.
My son had to watch sin tear apart someone he loves this month.
Feeling for him and trying to gain perspective.
Oh my son it’s time to tell
The dark story how our family fell
From royal heights, glistening fountain
Enraptured walks on garden mountain
While angels watched with face aghast
Our father with one bite dashed
The sons and daughters of every line
Until my son it came to mine
And yours and all those after
Who live enshadowed by this disaster
But still through veil our prophets see
A golden city, a deathless tree
So fight with strength the long defeat
Hold the line, resist retreat
A king will rise, a time will dawn
The splendor of ten thousand sons
