Family Teams Weekend is unlike any workshop or Christian conference you’ve ever experienced. This is not two days of just marriage encouragement, parenting tips, or inspirational talks. It’s where we pull back the curtain and introduce an entirely new way to think about and lead your family as a team on mission. These two days will combine incredible epiphanies and paradigm shifts with stuff that is so practical and immediately actionable the day you get home. You will go through various exercises with your spouse that are guaranteed to send you back different, activated, and equipped. So, if you want to turn your family upside down and take the path of changing your family’s legacy for the next 500 years, then this weekend is for you.
Jeremy met his wife April in Jerusalem in 1997 when they were students. They’ve spent the last 26 years building Team Pryor together. They have five kids with 3 married: Kelsey (& Matt), Jackson (& Angel), Sydney (& Kobie), Elisa and Kaira. They have 3 grandbabies and counting! They live in a multigenerational house with Jeremy’s parents in Fort Thomas, KY, just a few miles from Cincinnati, Ohio. They’ve founded and led several businesses and non-profits including Epipheo (a video production agency), Just Sew (a quilt shop), FamilyTeams.com (training content for families), and 1000 Houses (a network of Cincinnati disciple-making households).
We are Jeff and Alyssa, and we live in Franklin, TN with our kids Kinsley (10), Kannon (8), and Lucy (6), plus dog Charlie. We’ve been helping lead Family Teams since 2017 and have focused a better part of the last decade on how to build our own strong family team amidst a season that can so easily give way to chaos and individualism. In our house you can pretty easily find big dreams, lots of loud talking (sorry to Alyssa!), a well-used dinner table, and a pretty large focus on Jesus and His kingdom. We can’t wait to dive into this program with you and hope it serves you well!
“Y’all we just got back from our first Family Teams weekend and it was SO great. We learned so much, and are motivated to put into practice some things we learned and some that have been on our hearts and were reminded of this weekend. We were inspired, convicted, motivated and met so many awesome people and heard amazing stories of how God is working in their lives. It was incredibly encouraging to be in a room with so many like minded people wanting to lead their families well and live as multigenerational families on mission for God, especially with the state of the culture right now. There’s hope!! We immediately started chatting and sharing with the people we met like we had been friends for years. We met and spent time with a group of couples that we plan to stay in touch with and encourage as we implement things in our families. The fellowship was just so refreshing! We also were not expecting to leave with such introspection and understanding about ourselves and our families. Highly recommend!”
“This conference was probably the most practical thing we’ve done. We feel like we have tools and a clear action plan. This was so good for us and is going to be super helpful in building a strong foundation.”
“The weekend was life changing. We almost didn’t attend due to cost and time, but we are SO glad we did now.”
“The weekend definitely helped us create our vision and gave us hope in our marriage and family. It was helpful being around other families and realizing we were not alone in this.”
Great question! We don’t think the weekend will be most conducive to just one spouse being present since there will be various exercises and moments to do something specific with your spouse, but we also like to say that, “Two is better than one, but one is better than none.” If coming solo is your only option, and you’re hungry to gain the wisdom in the teachings and to do the exercises…we can provide you with the audio file of all sessions, as well as all the training and workshop prompts with literature to take home. We would hope you would be able to find space and time to go through all of the material with your spouse.
Each ticket or registration is good for ONE couple (two people). So you only need to purchase and register once to allow both you and a spouse to come.
While an illustration or point might be similar, the overarching weekend and workshop will be vastly different than any course or book that Family Teams has put out. We also believe even if you have consumed or engaged with all of the Family Teams resources (or you haven’t!) there is something special about being in a room with hundreds of other couples who also are building their multigenerational family team on mission. Workshopping together in the same space has a million intangibles unfolding that you simply can’t get in a course or book, and it also gives you space to process and ask direct questions and get immediate feedback.
We will release the detailed schedule via email as we get closer to the event, but know we will start Friday night with our kickoff session at 7pm and end Saturday night at 9pm!
YES! While the main topics we’re covering are the same as previous years, we encourage couples to return! So, even if you’ve been living in the “family teams” concept for a while, the workshops will give you a chance to revisit and level-up your family’s mission, vision, and rhythms.
There certainly will be some content that will be specific to families and children, but yes we actually very much believe this event will be life changing for married couples with no kids as well. The minute you get married, you are a family, regardless of kids, and ‘family’ and ‘marriage’ are more intertwined than we sometimes think. Also the sessions and exercises will be beneficial as well as give clarity and tons of things to take home for those without kids.
